ABOUT THE PAC
OUR MISSION
To enhance the students' learning experience while at Pitt Meadows Elementary.
ROLE OF THE PAC:
The purpose of the PAC is to improve public education for our students by including and supporting parents. Our mission is to be the collective voice of parents, promoting the best possible education for our children through meaningful parent participation in an advisory role at the school and the school district level.
DESCRIPTION:
The Parent Advisory Council (“PAC”) can not legally exist with out the following elected volunteer positions:
We believe that the PAC consists of every parent or guardian of a student at our school. There are a variety of other important volunteer positions held within the PAC. These would include: Fundraising Committee, Hot Lunch, Emergency Planning, Health Committee, Website/Newsletter, Playground Lead, Fruit & Veggie Coordinator and the School Planning Council.
The PAC is an integral part of the school, some of the things the PAC does includes:

Our PAC has 3 distinct goals:
HOW DO WE ACHIEVE THESE GOALS?

- Treasurer
- DPAC Representative
We believe that the PAC consists of every parent or guardian of a student at our school. There are a variety of other important volunteer positions held within the PAC. These would include: Fundraising Committee, Hot Lunch, Emergency Planning, Health Committee, Website/Newsletter, Playground Lead, Fruit & Veggie Coordinator and the School Planning Council.
The PAC is an integral part of the school, some of the things the PAC does includes:
- works with the school to build a strong community
- to advise principal, school board and school regarding any matter relating to the school except for matters assigned to the School Planning Council
- to promote communication between parents, school staff and school board
- to organize and support activities for students and parents
- to fundraise in order to subsidize activities and purchases including
- additional equipment and materials for school
- field trips
- Primary Fun Day and Cultus Lake
- guest speakers
- technology
- to promote health and safety within the school
- to encourage parent participation - attending meetings and volunteering
- to encourage a positive sense of community

- to facilitate communications
- to raise funds for the school
